My Dental Water Jet

Healthy habits are vital to maintaining good oral health. Eating fibrous foods such as carrots, apples, etc. helps to scrape the plaque off your teeth. Whilst regularly flossing and brushing keeps plaque buildup at a minimum. It’s when you’re teeth plaque starts to turn to calcium that the real problems rear their ugly face. Additionally swishing water between your teeth after a meal will help to remove food buildup away from your teeth.

There is no substitute for a Waterpik though. A Waterpik’s is a dental water jet similar to the one your dentist uses during your routine cleanings. However, this one is for home use. Numerous clinical studies have proven that regular use of a Waterpik is more effective than flossing. It simply gets places the floss cannot go.

If your dentist has not told you about the Waterpik yet then you are missing out. Using the Waterpik is not only easier than flossing but leaves your mouth feeling amazing. I use mine on a routine basis now and dread when I have to return to old school dental floss.
My dentist informed me of a way to supercharge the Waterpik. They simply said instead of gargling and swishing my antibacterial mouth rinse to run it through the Waterpik along with some water. This ensures the mouth wash can get into every little nook and cranny of your mouth dramatically improving it’s effectiveness.

All in all I don’t know how we lived before the Dental Water Jet was invented. If you are interested in reading more you can check out my website at http://www.fitlish.com/dental-water-jet where I talk about this and more interesting healthy topics.
